Real Madrid Club de Fútbol, popularly known as Real Madrid. Is a Spanish professional football club from Madrid, Spain. It is one of the best teams in La Liga, the top league of Spanish football leagues.

It was founded in 1902 And was known as Madrid Football Club. The title ‘Real’ is Spanish for ‘Royal’ and the royal crown in the logo as given to them by King Alfonso XIII.

They’ve been playing their home matches in Santiago, Bernabeu in downtown Madrid since 1914. Atlético Madrid

Club Atlético de Madrid means “Athletic Club of Madrid” and is counted as one of the best teams in La Liga. In Spanish-speaking countries it is known as Atleti and worldwide it is known as Atlético Madrid. Metropolitano Stadium is where they play their home matches.

On 26 April 1903, three Basque students living in Madrid founded the club and named it Athletic Club Sucursal de Madrid. In the same year, they had seen Athletic Bilbao winning the Copa del Rey final in the city and they thought that this club would be a youth branch of their childhood team.

The colours of their jersey are red and white strips because of which the club’s nickname is Los Colchoneros.
