Al Nassr
Al Nassr Football Club, Nasr means “Victory” in Arabic, is a Saudi Arabian football team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The club was formed in 1955 and plays their home games at Al-Awwal Park. Their jersey colors are yellow and blue.
They’re a successful club in Saudi Arabia, winning many trophies, 28 in total! In their country, they’ve won nine Pro League titles, six King’s Cups, three Crown Prince’s Cups, three Federation Cups, and two Saudi Super Cups.
Internationally, they did something unique in 1998: they won both the Asian Cup Winners’ Cup and the Asian Super Cup. And in 2023, they clinched the Arab Club Champions Cup. They’ve also got two GCC Club Cup titles under their belt.
In 1955, the Al-Ja’ba brothers founded the club. They practiced in an old playground at Gashlat Al-Shortah near Al-Fotah Garden, using a small football field and a little room for their gear. Alongside the Al-Ja’ba brothers were Ali and Al-Owais.
Prince Abdul Rahman bin Saud Al Saud was a huge fan. He became the longest-serving president in 39 years! He’s known as the Al Nassr’s Godfather because he took the club from a lower division to become champions.
Al Nassr moved up to the top division in 1963. They were super successful in the 1970s and 1980s, winning four Saudi Premier League titles, six King’s Cups, three Crown Prince Cups, and three Federation Cups. The team wears their famous yellow kits in the league. The team succeeded because of three excellent players known as the “Saudi Golden Trio”: Majed Abdullah, Fahd Al-Herafy, and Mohaisn Al-Jam’aan.

Al Hilal FC
Al Hilal Football Club, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is one of the most dominant teams in Saudi football. Established in 1957, they play their home matches at the King Saud University Stadium. Al Hilal Kits‘ colors are blue and white.
Back in 1957, things got rocky at the Youth Club. The leaders disagreed, and Mr. Abdul Rahman bin Saeed stepped down as president, taking several key players with him. That split paved the way for something new and exciting. On October 15, 1957, a fresh club was born in Riyadh. It had a different name initially but was renamed by King Saud on December 3, 1958, after he saw a tournament involving other clubs.
From the beginning, Al-Hilal had a solid fan base, including support from the royal family. As they built their team, Al-Hilal started making waves. They won the King’s Cup in 1961 and again in 1964 after an intense penalty shootout against Al Ittihad, two-time Asian champions.
The club also claimed the Crown Prince Cup in the 1963-64. In the inaugural season of the Saudi Premier League in 1976–77, Al Hilal emerged as the first champions and repeated their success in 1978–79. Their victories attracted talent from beyond Saudi Arabia in the 1970s, including famous names like Brazilian stars Mario Zagallo and Rivellino.

Al Ittihad Club
Al Ittihad is a professional football club from Jeddah. It started in 1927. It is one of the oldest Sports clubs still surviving in Saudi Arabia. Also, it is one of the top clubs in the Saudi Pro League. The matches are played in Jeddah’s main stadium, King Abdullah Sports City. It is the second-largest stadium in Saudi Arabia.
Ittihad has won 38 official championships. It has a long history of rivalry with Al Hilal. Their matches are called Saudi El Clasico. Al Ittihad VS Al Hilal is considered the most-watched annual match in Saudi football.
The 1990s and 2000s were the most successful periods for the club. It was when the club achieved many titles and achievements nationally and even globally it also secured 4th place in the 2005 FIFA Club World Cup Championship in Japan.
Al Ittihad is one of the most successful Asian clubs at the domestic, national, and continental levels. They are the first and one of the only three Asian teams to achieve the AFC Champions League Cup twice.

Al Shabab FC
Al-Shabab Football Club, also known as ‘The Youth Football Club’ in Arabic, is a soccer team from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They play in the Saudi Professional League. The club’s journey began in 1947 when it was called Shabab Al Riyadh, meaning ‘Riyadhi Youth.’ But in 1967, it got its new name, Al Shabab. The team has been around for a while, growing and evolving over the years, becoming one of the best teams in the Saudi Pro League.
Al Shabab, Riyadh’s first football club, had a lot of ups and downs. In 1947, it started finding success after some conflicts, with Abdulrahman Bin Saeed leading the way. Five years later, they clinched their first victory in a tournament against Sakit Al Hadeed. Then, in 1955, they won the King Saud Cup by beating the Military College.
Things started going downhill in 1957 when a leadership change caused tension. It got so messy that Abdulrahman Bin Saeed and some members left, forming a new club—Al-Hilal. Because of financial problems, the team had to take a break of 6 months. More challenges came in 1959. Abdullah Bin Ahmed was left alone to manage the club and disbanded the central team before going abroad.
Players scattered to clubs like Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal. Only the youth team remained. They rallied when Abdullah Bin Ahmed returned, forming a new central team. In 1960, they faced Al Hilal, winning 3–0 in their first official match and lifting the King Saud Cup for the Central Province.

Al Ettifaq FC
Al-Ettifaq Football Club is a soccer team from Dammam, Saudi Arabia. It started in 1944 when three clubs joined together. They were the first Saudi team to win big in other countries.
Ettifaq won the 1984 Arab Club Champions Cup. Also, they were the first to win the Saudi Premier League without losing any games. They even won the GCC Champions League. In total, they’ve won 13 titles! They also have a futsal team.
Al Ettifaq FC is a club that was formed by merging three clubs in the city of Dammam. It was founded in 1941. Al-Taawoun, Al-Sha’ab, and Al-Shabab. These clubs were hardly generating any revenue for the sport to continue. The presidents of the club and its staff met in Faris Al-Hamid’s house, the Ministry of Sport at the time, and decided to merge this into one club. The colors would be green and white, eventually changing to green and red.
