]]> For anyone early to the mobile smartphone era, the word FTS brings a rush of nostalgia. FTS (First Touch Soccer) was one of the earliest contenders that laid the base of mobile soccer gaming. The craze is still at the top of the charts, with FTS Mods still common among the fans, with millions of downloads even in 2026.

But as we move forward, the question remains: Will FTS ever be released again? While the developers at First Touch Games (FTG) have been quiet, and only dropped a few tweets with very mixed emotions.

The Golden Era of Mobile Soccer Gaming

During the mid-2010s, the mobile soccer landscape looked very different. While FIFA Mobile and PES (now eFootball) were beginning their transition from Java games to the smartphones models, FTS stood its ground as the “complete” soccer simulator. The game has everything a player needs, in the game ranging from a Career Mode and detailed gameplay.

FTS wasn’t just a companion to Dream League Soccer Series (DLS); it offered more depth. The reason FTS was one of the most played game duriong the time is its diverse range of game modes:

  • Star Player Match: Lead your Hero player and control their destiny on the pitch.

When is FTS Coming Back?

Although FTG has been very clear that they have discontinued the series and will only work on the DLS Series moving forward. But the tweet (latest) from FTG back in April 2020 has since become ‘Last Hope’ for the community:

“At this moment in time we’re focusing on our other apps. In regards to continuing the FTS series, we have not completely ruled it out, but there are no plans at this present time to release any new FTS apps.”

The community wants it back!

The question remains valid! ‘Why FTG Might Be Reviving Their Classic Title?‘ This is very well supported by the fact that FTS Mods around the internet are still able to manage millions of downloads worldwide.

Although the original game engines are built only for old Android phones, the Mods can still pull millions of users. Imagine what a modern “FTS 2026” built on the latest gaming engines could achieve.
